Force of Course

Today we had a scientist from "High-Touch High-Tech" come to do experiements with us for our unit on Force and Energy. We had so much fun learning about types of energy and forces.  What was your favorite part and what did you learn?

The BFG

We've been reading The BFG over the past few weeks. We just love Roald Dahl (we read Matilda first!).
Today we watched the movie and no movie is complete without a treat.  So of course we just HAD to try a drink from Giant Country....Frobscottle!!

To go along with our Frobscottle we had Snozzcumber cupcakes (they were delicious...unlike the Snozzcumbers from Giant Country).

We LOVED the movie and the treats made it even more special. What a fun afternoon!!

Our Turkey

We had a family project for November.  Each student took home a turkey feather and designed their feather with their family.  When they brought them back, we created a "classroom family" turkey.  Look how cute! Everyone was so creative!!

Georgia on Our Minds

We are working hard and learning so much each day.  In Social Studies we have been learning about our great state.  What are some things you've learned about Georgia? Pumpkin Day!

Today we had Pumpkin Day! We began the day by making a prediction on whether or not we thought a pumpkin would sink or float in water.

 Then we put the pumpkin in the water.  Guess What?!  It FLOATS!!

After we did this experiment, we did Pumpkin Centers. We made pumpkins, painted pumpkins, measured pumpkins and played bingo. What a fun day!!



50th Day of School!

We had such a fun time celebrating the 50th day of school!! What was your favorite part of the day?

AR and Math SuperStars Store!

Today we had our first school store to spend the "money" we've earned from taking AR tests and Math SuperStars. Some of us bought some really cool things and some decided to save up for a bigger item next time.  The store was AWESOME and we can't wait to earn more "money"!
